Not sure how you came to this page, but it’s likely you’re wondering how I might fit into your organization.

I have a deep and unrelenting interest in the design of natural systems. Both products and services are reflections of organizational systems. As much as we don’t generally think about organizations as natural systems, they are. Organizations are built by and made of people. People can be messy. We can, however, design “good” products and services, as long as they are in line with organizational principles and values.

I believe in problem solving from a holistic perspective. When we fully understand everything from a 5,000 foot view, we can see where and how all the pieces fit together. It is imperative for a successful business to collaborate across organizational silos. I bring loads of experience in educating others to understand user experience, human centered design, and how businesses can meet their own needs by also meeting the needs of end-users.

Empathy and communication are of utmost importance to me, whether in one-on-one interactions, or in reading a room. Feeling into moments both emotionally and logically allows for deep understanding of single issues as well as entire contexts. I bring a rare blend of “soft” and hard skills, allowing for situational flexibility and fueling more successful and pragmatic plans of action. Communication and adaptability with individuals and groups alike are essential for successful, creative collaboration.
